Field Notes from Sri Krishna Coffee: A Cupful of Legacy
Not all coffee places have to be cafes.
The space is small, barely a room. But contains multiple stories. A single counter. A short menu.
Filter, roast, powder, beans. That’s all. No fancy latte art, no playlists. Yet holds the soul of coffee honestly and sincerely.
The air is full of coffee. The kind your grandmother made in her brass filter. The kind that lingers in your car, long after you’ve gotten the coffee powder home. The kind that stays on your clothes, reminding you of your significant other.
The father built the shop, the son steers the ship now. Decades of legacy. Metal clanging on metal as the coffee is ground, packed, and sealed in front of you.
The kind of coffee that fuels you through your day, powers you through the night.
No frills. No fancy. Just simple, plain old coffee. Just the smell of the roast. Just the sound of work.
P.S. Although this isn’t a cafe, Sri Krishna Coffee has been monumental in shaping the city’s coffee consumption over the years. We loved the place so much that we had to feature it!
